Email us about this guide
Write to admin@freedinsure.com. Use it to ask about a page, report a mistake or tell us about a broken link.
FreedInsure LLC reads this inbox. FreedInsure is the private insurance agency that publishes this guide. When you email us, we get your email address and what you write. We use it to reply to you or to fix a mistake you tell us about. We don't sell it.
There is no form on this site. To write to us, use email or the mailing address at the end of this page.
Please don't email medical details. Also leave out your Social Security number, Medicaid or Medicare number, bank details and photos of your cards or letters. Email is not a safe place for private facts. We don't need them to fix a page.
We can answer questions about what a page says. We can't look up your case or tell you what to do about your health. To see what this site collects, read our privacy notice.
How to report a mistake
Every guide lists its sources and the date we last reviewed it. If a fact looks wrong or out of date, please tell us. Rules and dollar limits change, and we would rather hear about it.
What to put in your email
- The page address. Copy it from the top of your browser.
- The sentence or number that looks wrong.
- What you think it should say.
- A link to your source, if you have one. A page from a government agency or the text of the law is best.
A short email you can copy
Subject: Correction
Page: [paste the page address]
What it says now: [the sentence or number]
What it should say: [your fix]
Source: [a link, if you have one]
What happens next
- We check what you sent against the source.
- If the page is wrong, we fix it.
- If the fix changes a fact, number, rule or deadline, we add a short note at the end of the page. It says what changed and when.
- If the source doesn't back up the change, we leave the page as it is. We may write back to tell you what we found.
Our editorial policy explains how we pick sources and fix mistakes.
What this site can't do
FreeHealthInsurance.com is a private guide. It is not a government office. It is not HealthCare.gov, Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP or a state agency.
- It can't take applications. It has no forms.
- It can't see, check or change any application, account, card or case.
- It can't promise that you qualify for a program. Only the program you apply to can decide.
- It can't give medical, legal or tax advice.
This site never asks you for money or for personal numbers. HealthCare.gov says the Marketplace, its assisters and your state will never ask for your credit card or for payment to keep or qualify for coverage. If someone does, you can report it. The table below shows how.
Help lines for coverage, care and a crisis
For help with an application, an account or a crisis, go straight to the people who can act on it. Each number below comes from the program's own website. We checked each one on October 19, 2026.
| What you need | Who to contact | How to reach them |
|---|---|---|
| Apply for Medicaid or CHIP, or check on an application | Your state Medicaid agency | Find yours in Medicaid.gov's list of state agencies. You can also fill out a Marketplace application. Use HealthCare.gov, or your state's own marketplace if it has one. You can apply any time of year. For a child, you can also call 1-877-543-7669 (InsureKidsNow.gov) to learn about your state's programs. |
| Apply for a Marketplace plan on HealthCare.gov, or fix a HealthCare.gov account | HealthCare.gov call center | Call 1-800-318-2596 (TTY 1-855-889-4325). It is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except holidays. In Spanish, use CuidadoDeSalud.gov. |
| Your state runs its own marketplace | Your state's official marketplace | Pick your state on HealthCare.gov's state page to find the right site. The list can change. Starting November 1, Oregon residents use ExploreHealthOR.gov to enroll in 2027 coverage. |
| Free help in person with a Marketplace application | Trained local helpers | Use HealthCare.gov's local help finder (localhelp.healthcare.gov). HealthCare.gov says its assisters are trained and certified by the Marketplace to give free help. If your state runs its own marketplace, check that site for local help too. |
| Questions about Medicare | 1-800-MEDICARE | Call 1-800-633-4227 (TTY 1-877-486-2048), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except some federal holidays. See Medicare.gov. |
| One-on-one Medicare counseling at no cost | Your State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) | Call 877-839-2675 or visit shiphelp.org and pick your state to find your local SHIP. |
| A mental-health or suicide crisis | 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline | Call or text 988, or chat at 988lifeline.org. It is free, confidential and open 24/7. In Spanish, call 988 and press 2, or text AYUDA to 988. Veterans can call 988 and press 1, or text 838255. TTY users can use a relay service or dial 711, then 988. |
| Local help with food, housing, rides or health care | 211 | Call 211 or visit 211.org. Calls are confidential and can be anonymous. |
| Report a scam | The FTC, a federal consumer protection agency | Report it at ReportFraud.ftc.gov. HealthCare.gov also says to tell your local police and the Marketplace call center what happened. |
| A complaint about any insurance agent, including FreedInsure | Your state's insurance department | Find your state's department on the NAIC map of state insurance departments (content.naic.org). |
| A medical emergency | 911 | Call 911. |
Start with the row that matches what you need. If you aren't sure where to start, 211 can point you to local help. Email is not the way to get help in a crisis. Call or text 988, or call 911 in an emergency.
